This election, Canadians deserve answers from their political leaders about our country’s role in a fast-changing world. This is why the Munk Debates has issued a call to the leaders of the four major political parties to take part in an election debate on Canada’s foreign policy on Tuesday, October 1st. We are pleased to announce Elizabeth May, Andrew Scheer, and Jagmeet Singh have confirmed their participation. Please sign our petition to help convince Justin Trudeau to join Elizabeth May, Andrew Scheer, and Jagmeet Singh at the Munk Leaders Debate on Foreign Policy. After signing the petition, you can email the party leader(s) who have not confirmed their participation. Thank you in advance for your support. More debate = more democracy.
The Munk Debates is a non-partisan charitable organization founded in 2008. Our mission is to convene civil and substantive debates on the big issues of the day for the benefit of Canadians. During the 2015 federal election, we organized the first-ever national leaders debate on foreign policy. Recognized as “spirited and substantive” by The Globe and Mail, “well-conceived and well-executed” by The Ottawa Citizen and “the liveliest of the campaign” by Global News, we want to repeat our successful 2015 leaders debate for the 2019 election.
The 2019 Munk Debate on Foreign Policy is scheduled to take place at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto on the evening of Tuesday, October 1st. The entire debate will be available free online and provided at no charge to any media or digital entity who want to broadcast the proceedings.
